Eyelash Extensions Pre-Treatment

It is highly recommended to book a patch test 36-48 hours prior to your appointment. This is a complimentary service. If you use waterproof mascara, avoid using it 2-3 days before your first appointment. The film it leaves on your lashes may prevent the extensions from adhering correctly. Arrive to your appointment with dry, clean lashes and makeup-free eyes. Remove contact lenses before your appointment. Avoid caffeine, as this can cause fluttering and twitching of the eye. Use the washroom before your appointment. Be prepared to lie down with your eyes very still for 2+hours for the first appointment.

Eyelash Extensions After Care

Avoid water and steam for first 2 hours. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, hot yoga, swimming pools and facials for first 24 hours. After this time all of these activities are fine, but extended time spent can cause weaker retention and require more frequent fills. Wash your lashes daily. Use specially formulated lash wash available at Lash Fox Beauty, or an oil free cleanser. Do not use cotton or towels as they may tug on the lashes. Use lash brush and/or paper towel. Do not rub your eyes or tug, pick or pull at your lashes. If lashes are twisted or out of place use spoolie to gently comb them back into place. Avoid all oil based products. Oil will break down the bond in the adhesive. This can include moisturizers, serums, foundations, face wash, sunscreen, eyeliners, eye shadows, etc. Do not use mascara, eyelash curlers or strip eyelashes. These can cause damage to the extensions as well as your natural lashes, and create build up which may prevent you from being able to get a fill. Try to sleep on your back as often as possible. Sleeping on your side or stomach can crush and twist your lashes. If you are a side or stomach sleeper consider purchasing a specialty sleep mask. Book your lash fill in advance. Depending on your natural lash growth and after care this can be anywhere from 2-4 weeks time. Do not try to remove lashes on your own. Contact Lash Fox Beauty for a removal, or allow them to shed naturally

Eyelash /Eyebrow Tinting Pre-Treatment

It is highly recommended to book a patch test 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. This is a complimentary service. If you use waterproof mascara, avoid using it 2-3 days before your appointment. Arrive to your appointment with dry, clean lashes and makeup-free eyes/eyebrows. Remove contact lenses before your appointment.

Eyelash /Eyebrow Tinting After Care

Do not touch or rub your eyes, eyelashes, or eyebrows immediately after the treatment. If redness or irritation occurs apply a cool damp cotton compress to the eye area. If symptoms persist for more than 24 hours seek medical advice. Effects of the tint will start to diminish within 2 to 3 weeks as hair grows out and the tint color fades. Strong sunlight/UV light can make the tint color fade faster. Avoid wetting or washing your hair, eyelids, eyelashes, eyebrows, or swimming for 24 hours. Use gentle facial cleanser or eye makeup remover and avoid exfoliating cleansers or those products containing AHA’s and oil. Do not apply makeup or mascara to lashes or receive any other eye treatments for at least 24 hours after the lash or brow tinting treatment. Use gentle facial cleanser or eye makeup remover to extend the longevity of the tint.

Brow Henna Pre-Treatment

It is highly recommended to book a patch test 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. This is a complimentary service. Stop using any waterproof brow make-up 2-3 days prior to your appointment. If you are going to have your brows shaped, do that before your henna appointment (unless having it done at Lash Fox Beauty, it can be done at the same time) The day of your appointment do not apply any moisturizer, make up, spray tan or oils to your brows or it will compromise the application of the henna. Advise Lash Fox Beauty of any allergies or reactions to your patch/allergy test.

Do not touch or rub your brows. Brows must be left alone for the first 24 hours. Keep them dry, no water, sweating, saunas or steam rooms. Try to sleep on your back. Do not apply make up for the first 24 hours. After 24 hours you may resume your regular activities and treatment of your brows, however extended time in chlorine, the sun, tanning beds or sweating can cause the brows to fade faster.
